Celebrity Apprentice on a budget.....

No secret that I love reality TV, especially reality competition shows. Celebrity Apprentice has always been a favorite. Love it!!!

The 2011 season opening credits was one of the best I'd ever seen on TV. It was awesome!! Tons of production value. Check it out below!

I was SO looking forward to this seasons Celebs and the show. I was also excited for their opening credit scene. Much to my disappointment it's 17 seconds of Trump....

LAME!!!!! Maybe they could have spent less money on getting creepy Victoria Gotti and make the show look better. The silver lining of this season?? George Takei. Amazing. Him talking about how good his teammates look is hilarious. His voice....awesome!

OOTD: Leopard and vegan leather

Took a risk and wore some skiiiiiiiiinny pants. They're "vegan". I didn't even know they made vegan clothing! How about that? For some reason this outfit reminded me of Rizzo from Grease!

OOTD: Ball gown and giant peacock

This weekend was the 50th Anniversary Ball for the Junior League of Dallas. I work closely with the league and love it!!

The theme this year was A Night at the Peacock Terrace-Circa 1922. It was an awesome 20's theme!!

I had a hard time finding a dress for the event. I never found something that just blew me away! I posted about my dress findings here.

I ended up going with the hot pink Marchesa gown that my Mom sent me. It was an easy choice! Required no alterations and fit perfectly! My rent the runway gown was too short. (Being 5'10" you'd think I would learn to order a long...)

My best buddy Patrick stepped in as my date for the evening. R was in NYC for work.

Oh and there was a giant Peacock there too.

Gown: Marchesa via Saks 5th Avenue via my Mother :)
Jewelry: Vintage from 10+ years ago

Basically, this was the easiest formal event to dress for because I didn't have to go shopping for anything!

OOTD: 70's Glam

It was retro day at Kendra Scott! We all were to dress as our favorite decade. Obviously I dressed in my Studio 54 best. I love the era of the late 70's. Everything about it. I'm always listing to 70's or Disco station on XM. I was also proud that I was able to do SOMETHING with my hair. I curled with a 1 inch curling iron and brushed it through with a bristle brush. HELLO big waves!

How Elton John are these sunglasses???

Closet diet fail

I was trying to clean out/organize my cloths. My closet needs to go on a serious diet.

I picked up these awesome double sided clothing rack to help with the organizing. I had a plan! Take some out, make some space, organize, replace.

Sounds good right?

I hear this loud SNAP. And I look to see my clothing rack has died.

I give up.

OOTD: Slouchy blue and pink zebra

I've been feeling very uninspired for my clothing outfits these days. I think I need to seriously clean out my closet and pair new things together. I've been working the early shifts at work and I don't want to wear too many sequins and rhinestones. Can't be scaring everyone at 10:00am.

I also have no clue why that one piece of hair insists on sticking out. All. The. Time.

When all else fails pile on the bracelets!

Grease Lighting

I'm horrified and intrigued at the same time with Prada's Spring line of shoes.....

And then I get really confused because it goes from those....to this shoe:

I think they might be having an identity crisis.

OOTD: Hot Pink art deco

I've had this dress in my closet for years and never had a reason to wear it!

I loved mixing the art deco accessories with the bold color of the dress. You add my texas hair to the mix and you've got yourself an outfit perfect for the Junior League of Dallas.

I couldn't stop laughing this day! So there aren't my typical OOTD pictures. I like the change!

I couldn't photograph the color of the pants. They kept looking navy! They're a fabulous shade of electric purple!!

I might have looked more like this guy....

I heart Isaac Mizrahi

I love watching Isaac Mizrahi on Project Runway All-stars!! I just want to listen to him critique people and his perfectly timed emphasis.

I'm also obsessed with his hand gestures.

This one is the classic. Love. It.

You know you have a problem when....

You know you have a problem when your friends give you Christmas gifts that all Diet Coke themed.....

I exchanged Christmas gifts with my best friend Adam the other day (yes...you read correctly, Christmas....I know it's February).

I might be obsessed with having this chair in the background of all my blog pictures.

I love them!!! The perfect cup for my Diet Coke, straight up.

No dress for the ball, Cinderella

The Junior League of Dallas ball is a little over two weeks away and I still have nothing to wear!! Well I have options, just none that I'm LOVE with! Here are my options:

1) The original dress I purchased. Loved it when I got it but now I'm not so sure. (Still have receipt and tags so in case I change my mind!) I can't tell if the fit is wrong on me, or I'm just stuck in my "everything has to be loose on me before I freak out" phase.

2) This Rent the Runway Dress that I have coming the day before the event. (The idea of not knowing until 24 hours before makes me too anxious).

3) My mom purchases this dress, she didn't like it on her. She sent it to me as an option. I haven't tried it on yet. The color is beautiful.

4) I could rob Neiman Marcus for this beauty. This is the only dress that has gotten me remotely excited and of course it's WAY too expensive. Sigh......

Who knows what I'll wear......I've always had my outfits for these events planned way in advance!!
